Hey ya know it's about time I post about one of my favorite songs from Chris Tomlin's new album (See The Morning) I just love this song so much and I am so happy Chris wrote a song like this...you will notice I named my blog Let God Arise!! So I just love this song...For me when I first heard this song it has an energy to it that just is so strong...I mean it's just one of those songs that brings the walls down and when I am singing Let God Arise it's just so powerful to me! When things are maybe not going so well in your life Let God Arise, Just let him arise in your life it's a beautiful picture to me every time I hear the song the same image comes into my head I wish I had a real picture to share with you what I see but I will just explain it the best I can---I just see me SMALL me bowing down on the ground and then the sun rising and a powerful blast of light just shines--GOD he arises he shines over me!! So that's just something I wanted to share...With my God all things are possible when we let Him arise in our lives we have strength...Read the words to this song- amazing!!
Picture the waters parting---
Hear the holy roar of God resound
Watch the waters part before us now
Come and see what He has done for us
Tell the world of His great love
Our God is a God who saves
Our God is a God who saves
Let God arise Let God arise
Our God reigns now and forever
He reigns now and forever
His enemies will run for sure
The church will stand, she will endure
He holds the KEYS of LIFE, our Lord
Death has no sting, no final word
I just love that!!!
Also I thought I would share what Jesse Reeves replied to me...on Frequency I directed the question to Chris- asking how he wrote this song, but instead Jesse answered the question so here it is...
(From Jesse Reeves)
well, i'm not chris.... but i know the story 'cause i was there. here's the short version. we were playing at a conference in Hawaii, and Jim Symbola (the pastor at the Brooklyn Tabernacle) was preaching. His point was basically that we as a church do not need any more programs, or new catchy things to entice people in, but rather that we need to call on God. We need to lift of His name. We need to ask of Him, and stop trying make things happen on our own. At the conclusion of his message, he made the simple statement, "Let God arise, and his enemies be scattered." Chris immediately said to me, "that needs to be a song." Of couse at that point, we just thought it was a cool phrase that Mr. Symbola had made up, but later discovered that it was straight scripture. Psalm 68:1 says it. Anyway, that began the wheels spinning.... and after marrying that with sections further down in the passage such as "our God is a God who saves," we ended up with the song. It's about letting God do the work that he wants to do to bring Himself glory.
Well hope you all have a wonderful day!

Louie Giglio : Wired for a Life of Worship, Part 1
Posted by worship.com
by Louie Giglio.
You, my friend…are a worshiper!
There, I said it.
Everyday, all day long, everywhere you go, you worship. It’s what you do. It’s who you are.
So if by chance you have only a few seconds to check out this book, that’s what it’s all about. We all are worshipers, created to bring pleasure and glory to the God who made us.
I don’t know whether or not you consider yourself a “worshiping” kind of person, but you cannot help but worship—-something.
It’s what you were made to do.
Should you for some reason choose not to give God what He desires, you’ll still worship something—exchanging the Creator for something He has created.
Whatever’s Worth Most
Think of it this way: Worship is simply about value. The simplest definition I can give is this: Worship is our response to what we value most.
That’s why worship is that thing we all do. It’s what we’re all about on any given day. Because, worship is about saying, “This person, this thing, this experience (this whatever) is what matters most to me…it’s the thing I put first in my life.”
That “thing” might be a relationship. A dream. Friends. Status. Stuff. A name. Some kind of pleasure. Whatever name you put on it, this thing or person is what you’ve concluded in your heart is worth most to you. And whatever is worth most to you is—you guessed it—what you worship.
Worship tells us what we value most. As a result, worship determines our actions, becoming the driving force for all we do.
And we’re not just talking about the religious crowd. Christians. The churchgoer among us. Or the youth group attender. We’re talking about everybody on planet earth…a multitude of souls proclaiming with every breath what is worthy of their affection, their attention, their allegiance. Proclaiming with every step what it is they worship.
Some of us attend the church on the corner, professing to worship the Living God above all. Others who rarely step inside the church doors would say worship isn’t a part of their lives because they aren’t “religious.” But everybody has an altar. And every altar has a throne.
So how do you know where and what you worship?
It’s easy. You simply follow the trail of your time, your affection, your energy, your money, and your loyalty. At the end of that trail you’ll find a throne; and whatever, or whomever, is on that throne is what’s of highest value to you. On that throne is what you worship.
Sure, not too many of us walk around saying, “I worship my stuff. I worship my X-Box. I worship this pleasure. I worship her. I worship my body. I worship me!”
But the trail never lies. We may say we value this thing or that thing more than any other, but the volume of our actions speaks louder than our words.
In the end, our worship is more about what we do than what we say.

Hey Everyone
I have not been posting on this blog in like for ever!!! LOL So I am gonna hopefully try to do more recent posts on this!!! Feel free to comment any time! Well so far things have been going well I have been learning a lot in my school work and I have been continually playing my guitar and doing all sorts of things!! Just had something quick on my heart to share.Yesterday I was in the car we were on our way home and I had my ipod on and the beautiful song Amazing Grace ( My Chains Are Gone) came on!! And as I was looking out the window seeing the beautiful blue sky and all the wonderful beautiful things God created I just was overwhelmed, I felt like in that moment God was touching me and saying I LOVE YOU I LOVE YOU- Your Chains are Gone I have set you FREE!! What a beautiful and amazing thought to know we have a God who loves us so much and has forgiven us for our sins! Lately God seems to be showing me how amazing he is, in everything just by looking at a tree haha I see His beauty just by looking at the bright blue sky in the car I am overwhelmed I can't fathom all he does!! And the God who made everything also has set me FREE from my sin!!!
How sweet that is...
This was just on my heart so I wanted to share what I have been feeling : ) Have a wonderful day!!
Amazing grace
How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost, but now I'm found
Was blind, but now I see
'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear
And grace my fears relieved
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed
My chains are gone
I've been set freeMy God, my Savior has ransomed me
And like a flood His mercy reigns
Unending love, Amazing grace
The Lord has promised good to me
His word my hope secures
He will my shield and portion be
As long as life endures
The earth shall soon dissolve like snow the sun forbear to shine but God, who called me here below will be forever mine will be forever mine you are forever mine
YES YOU ARE FOREVER OURS!!! We Love You Lord!!!
